WHAT IS CMF/TOP FUNCTIONALITY?
This unique configuration of the RF Multipolar KONTUR MD, enables the user to easily control, sequence and fine tune either (or both) the 3 Frequencies and the timing of the Polarity changes - this fine tuning helps to safely focus and contain the deeper penetration and diffusion of the high thermal energy into the tissues. The CMF/TOP functionality is totally software controlled.
Using the Kontur MD friendly software interface, EXPERT users can now easily manipulate almost any combination of the following:
- select 3 different frequencies: from the existing 3: 1MHZ, 0.75MHZ or 0.5MHZ, or any combination of two or all three of them in a sequence (See Waving Stimulating Frequencies)
- select 5 different time-intervals for changes in the polarity (the algorithm responsible for the time-interval between polarity changes - it is switching polarity positive or negative electrical charge among the 3 or 6 electrodes at a sequence)
This CMF/TOP feature adds a totally different, higher level of control to the expert user in a safe and controllable manner.

- The CMF functionality: Cycling Multiple Frequencies - this means: in the EXPERT mode, user can select to alternate between timed cycles of 0,5MHZ, 0,75MHZ and 1MHZ. Each one of these frequencies focuses the therapeutic thermal zone to different depths. By achieving direct focus and penetration of the heat to different depths, sequentially, it causes a draining and a "massaging" effect, helping circulation
- The TOP Functionality: Timed Oscillating Polarity - this means: switching the polarity of each electrode, in a sequence, back and forth to positive or negative, ensuring that the warming of tissue happens always at the center of the treatment handpiece. Changes in polarity can be set from a 1 second cycle to 2, or 3, 4, or up to 5 seconds cycle for specialized treatments
